11. Independence of the Seas ($828 million)

Royal Caribbean got the Finnish ship builder, Aker Finnyards Turku Shipyard, to build the Independence of the Seas back in 2008. And it cost around $828 million.

This is the successor of Freedom of the Seas and the last from Freedom-class Royal Caribbean cruise ship line. With almost 4,500-passenger capacity, this was the world’s largest passenger ship before the Oasis-class was born.

Passengers on board are pampered with tons of on-board entertainment. When the sun is shining outside, head on to the H2O Zone that has sports pool and whirlpools with bars.

Shopaholics will love the Promenade inside this ship. It was designed like a shopping street where shops and bars are lining up and inviting you to come in.
