When you come in a tournament as the defending champion, all eyes are on you. People expect you to fight in defending your title. Hence, everyone wants to hear what you have to say before the tournament starts.
The former champions also share the same expectation but on a lower level. Because once you have won one Grand Slam title, people expect you to win more.
This is a good thing if they can enjoy the spotlight and turn them into positive energy. These attentions are there because people are rooting for them to repeat their success.
However, this could turn into a nightmare for some. That is most likely to happen if they take it as a burden and let it consume their mind. Their tournament will be put in jeopardy in an instant.
