7. Rolex Daytona
The Daytona is a mechanical, self-winding chronograph manufactured by Rolex since 1963.
This beautiful watch was designed to meet the demands of professional racing drivers.
Produced in small quantities from 1963 to the later 1980s, the original series of Daytona had a manual wind movement, and a four-digit model or reference number.
The watch was inspired by racecar drivers and enthusiasts, the most notably of them being the actor Paul Newman, who reportedly wore his Daytona every day from 1972 until his death in 2008.
These watches are particularly collectable, especially vintage models and in particular those with the “Paul Newman” dial.
