The exquisite necklace consists of 68 pearls selected from the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th rows of a 7-strand necklace owned by the Maharajas of India.
It measures 16 millimeters in diameter and, as you can see in the image, it features a diamond clasp by Cartier, weighing 8.57 carats.
Valued at $7.1 million, the Baroda Pearl necklace was sold at Christie’s in 2007.
