MotoGP is a stage where the world’s best riders compete to be number one. Thus, it should come as no surprise that a big company like Red Bull keeps an eye on it. What is better than millions of viewers glued to the screen as your sponsored bike winning a phenomenal race?
Since 2006, Red Bull has been sponsoring the Repsol Honda team. However, only after 2014, their logo is featured on the Honda RC213V machines after it became the team’s official partner.
It does not stop right there. MotoGP fans would notice that during post-qualifying and post-race interviews, all winning riders will sip through a can of Red Bull as they answer some questions.
It seems like those are not enough for the company’s marketing team. Since 2007, Red Bull holds the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup every year. It is where rookie riders compete using the same bike: a four-stroke, single-cylinder, 250 cc KTM machine.
